How-to Use the Zoom Raise Hand Feature

To be called on for a comment, you will need to use the “Raise Your Hand” option in Zoom, which will let the speaker know you have a comment. “Lowering Your Hand” signals to the speaker that you no longer want to comment.

Note: If you are the meeting “host” or a “co-host”, you will not have the “Raise Your Hand” option.

On a PC or Mac:

To access the “Raise Hand” option, first, click on the “Participants” icon, which will open another section to the right in the Zoom app. Then click on the “Raise Hand” button.

To “lower” your hand, click on the “Lower Hand” icon (under the “Participants” area that should already be open).

On Apple iOS and Android Devices:

To raise your hand, tap on the “More” option, then tap on the “Raise Hand” option.
